I run about 4-5 times a week and before I bought this armband, I was using my iphone in my pocket. I use a GPS app to track my runs so I need to have my phone with me. I was getting tired of having to pull my phone out of my pocket to see my progress as I ran. I looked into other armbands, but I figured to just get the lifeproof one because I already have the case on my phone. It's already waterproof so no sense I get an armband that forced me to stick it into a plastic holder. The locking mechanism is very sturdy and strong. I have confidence that my phone will not fall out even on my longer runs. It does start to slip a bit when I start to get sweaty, but I think this might be the norm. I could make it a little tighter, but I also don't want to cutoff circulation to my arm. Overall the product is well built and I would recommend this to others...............................
